If you’ve found yourself curious about microdosing or researched how psychedelics can help provide relief from trauma and don’t want to navigate this alone, we can work together on preparing for your trip and integrating afterwards. My hope is we navigate what feels safer for you, rather than taking a heroic or macrodose unprepared or believing it to be a miracle cure.
I support decriminalization and have a harm reduction approach with individuals when it comes to psychedelics. Meaning, I believe in medicine being with people over large corporations and licensing boards since the foundation of what we know about plant medicine is because of Indigenous people. On an individual scale, I know folks will find medicine for reasons they’re called to. If you’d like to discuss more, please be mindful of what information you send via email or my contact form.
Preparation is introducing tools to assist with creating your setting: reading the nervous system, resource moments of joy, pleasure, or strength, engage with mindfulness practices, identifying a pod of support, and/or reprocess limiting beliefs through EMDR or Brainspotting.
Integration is a continuation of preparation, but with what is true for you now? We explore how to continue these new or remembered insights into the body after your experience. It’s important to integrate after a trip so that we don’t fall into the belief that you can only feel that way with medicine and therefore need to continue tripping.
One of the advantages of having an extended session means we can spend time grounding and continuing the practices we’ve explored in previous sessions. Unlike regular 50 minute sessions, we can explore a theme or a particular event for longer and with less interruption. These can include: relationships at home and work; “bad” feelings of self-doubt, shame (insert decolonizing shame link), and loneliness; a recent or past traumatic event.
I do not condone or promote the use of plant medicine, assist in finding how to access, sit or provide therapy while clients are under the influence.
I do not provide any trip sitting at this time. If you are looking for a trip sitter or needing support while under the influence please consider utilizing the Fireside Project Peer Support Line (62-FIRESIDE, 623-473-7433).
Psychedelic assisted therapy is currently available with Ketamine Assisted Therapy. Any therapy with MDMA or psilocybin is only available through clinical trials. I do not provide either of these.
